2026 marks a major milestone: the 80th anniversary of Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company. It’s an occasion for pride, as well as gratitude. Over the decades, millions of individuals and families have trusted that we would be there for them at the most difficult moments of their lives. Time and again, we have been gratified to demonstrate that their trust is well-placed.

Earning the trust of our customers has been central to Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company’s mission from day one. The company was founded in 1947 by Random Aldrich, a tireless advocate for farm workers across the South. His vision and drive charted an unstoppable course of success for the company. Within just ten years of launching, the company had issued over half a million policies. Life insurance in the region was never the same again.

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company’s upward trajectory hasn’t slowed since. From $2 billion of life insurance in force by the end of the ‘80s, to $100 billion by 2010, to over $200 billion today.
