SFBLI WellnessWorks! presents Walktoberfest 2009:
During the months of October and November, the SFBLI WellnessWorks! program will be promoting the 2009 Walktoberfest Walking Challenge to the employees of SFBLI. The program will begin on Monday, October 5th and run through Sunday, November 29th.
This challenge is designed for teams of two people to record their walking time in minutes during the week, seven days, using the SFBLI Walking Log. You can count time you walk at home, at work or on vacation. You do not have to always walk with your teammate. Each team will turn in their combined minutes each Monday to Matt Ginn during the program. You can contact Matt by email, phone (ext. 1856), or drop in to register and turn in team info.
Each month, the SFBLI WellnessWorks! program will give the top five teams an incentive prize consisting of $10 each to the company store. At the conclusion of the program, the two members of the top team will each receive a $50 gift certificate to Fleet Feet where you can apply towards your purchase of a new pair of shoes, socks, or other items in their store.
The aim of the program is to provide an easy way to be active and healthy during the holidays. Each week participants will be emailed a link to educational handouts on walking and healthy holiday tips which are listed below.

Week Six (November 9 - 15) - Maximizing Your Workout & Utilizing Muscle
Week Seven (November 16 - 22) - Motivation & Group Walking
Week Eight (November 23 - 29) - Maintaining Your Program
