At SFBLI, healthy eating is a part of the workday as we offer healthy choices in our cafeteria, vending machines, and at meetings.
Making wise choices in food selection and consumption is the best way to improve your nutrition status. We have put together a page that will help you understand some basic nutrition, general food guidelines, and smart choices for specific issues.
Healthy Recipes
Check out some of our favorite recipes that are healthy and delicious. If you have a healthy recipe and would like to share, please send it to Matt Ginn along with the reference.
Sodexo
Sodexo, our cafeteria management firm, promotes their program, Your Health Your Way, which offers healthy choices at work. Look for the brochures and signs which tell you about the program, calories in the dishes, and the healthy ways the staff prepares the food.
SFBLI Farmers Market
Each year we host several markets to launch the season of fresh fruits and vegtables. Our partnership with the Mississippi Farmers Market and the Mississippi Department of Health helps us educate employees about selecting and cooking local items while saving up to 40% on their grocery bill. Take a tour of our market here.
